玄武 Shaman (USA) aka Elias
玄武 Shaman THC (美國) - 玄武 一個中美混血兒在2005年來到了台灣. 在美國德州長大的他在2003年去了華盛頓 DC 在街頭上學到了饒舌開始寫歌,freestyling,還有party表演.2009年發行了第一張個人專輯叫做玄武門 .

Shaman (玄武), aka Elias Tsai (蔡一暐), is an American-born, half-Taiwanese/Chinese rapper with a penchant for self-fashioned modern mysticism and party music. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Shaman came to Taiwan in 2005 to make an impact in the Asian music scene. Since that time, he has performed at venues all around the island of Taiwan, released several mixtape CDs, and as of 2011, is putting the finishing touches on a mixtape and video campaign set for internet release. He also plans to do a Spring/Summer tour of the island.

Born to a multi-ethnic household, Shaman has always been aware of having a very broad culture perspective, and he works to bridge some of the gaps between East and West to promote understanding and awareness. In 2007, he helped form THC, a hip hop crew composed of Western and Easterners that's made its name well known in Taiwan, and especially in Taipei. In 2009, he independantly released his first album, "Shamanizm." David Chen of the Taipei Times writes, "In songs like Tha Freedom, Shaman sounds at ease rapping in both Mandarin and English. His delivery is always musical, while the lyrics still carry their weight in either language after repeated plays."

Skilled as both a songwriter and freestyler, he raps in English and Chinese, seeking to reach a wider audience in this modern age of information and globalism. He lists John Lennon, Bruce Lee, and Ghandi as some of his major inspirations, people who changed the world and set examples for us all to follow. Lyrically, he is extremely versatile. His songs range from social commentary to personal issues, as well as club music. Musically, he cited influences like Tupac, Method Man, 50 Cent, and Damian Marley, which inform his keen musical phrasing and vocal bravado, but his lyrics don't dwell in gangsta mythology — he sets out to stitch together his own. When asked why he is called the Shaman, he replied, "A Shaman is a healer, and music is my medicine.""
